Wouldn't you like to party too?

Finding this graphic last night somehow seemed appropriate.

We were in the middle of watching snippits of the US Election coverage, and then Epicure Selections Announced that it was the Company President's birthday and they were launching a big sale.

Then I found this and actually laughed out loud.
All politics aside, we *all* know the best party's involve good friends, good food, and great entertainment ~ so Stampin' Up! fits the bill!

I'm currently booking parties for November, December and January.  Your party can be a workshop, a private class, or even a personal catalog order.

Don't forget, when your orders reach $575 you receive a full set of 10 ink pads FREE (but just until December 16th!).

You can also earn these FREE ink pads when you purchase our demonstrator kit - also known as the "I want it all" kit - this additional 64.95 value increases the value of our kit significantly.  In fact, you pay $125 - Get $155 in product (before business materials) and then you get the ink pads (with shipping and tax run over $80!)  Factor in what you would have paid for the items you chose in the kit as a regular customer order, and you have basically doubled your return on your investment before you've even decided what comes next.

If you think you'd like to join, contact me to make an appointment to look at the products, playtest, chat and decide what works best for you.  If you know you'd like to join,  you can sign up through my website or contact me for more personalized service.

Yesterday was another big day of working in the craft room.  Anybody that might have been wandering by an open window might have been thoroughly amused.   Some of the treasures that I uncovered made me laugh out loud.

Years ago, Stampin' Up! used to put out idea sheets and I'd collected quite a raft of them.  Along with them I found some mini catalogs from way back when I started, and later when I made the decision to join.  I'd forgotten that I kept all the mini catalogs that my friend (now up-line) had sent me way back when.  I put them aside so I can show them to her the next time I see her..  I’m sure she will laugh too!

I still have the very first stamp set I ever bought.  At the time I was a Home Daycare provider and “Heart and Home” struck a chord with me.  I loved the crayon lines that looked just like one of our daycare kids had drawn them.   I had a lot of fun with that stamp set!  Though, as I recall I hadn’t been to any stamp classes back then, so looking back at some of those cards now leaves me feeling a little embarrassed that I ever gave them to people..  but they were hand-made with love, and always well received.

That was the start of my E-bay passion too – friends would mention this or that and off I’d go to hunt ~ before long I had a raft of mulberry paper, vellum, a huge lot of Pearl Ex powder in jars that I’m told will outlast me ~for much less than they were selling in stores at the time.   Oh the things I would create when I could get down to crafting.  The boxes came in like an army at times.  Oh boy, I had fun!

Though it has been a number of years since I jumped onto the Scrappin' Stampin' bandwagon,  there is always some new thing to learn, or a new technique that makes you want to dig out an old favorite and make it new all over again.

I like to think that one of the things that makes me a good demonstrator is that no matter how long I've been at this "little hobby" that I have never stopped being an avid hobbyist, and at the very core of it, I have always been my own best customer.

Much like you, I am always tweaking my wish list and figuring out my next order.  Deciding what makes the cut and into your craft room seems to be a continual process and we're all pretty sure the world is going to end when each year's retiring list is announced.  Isn't it funny how somehow in that moment we all jump on the Steve Jobs bandwagon and a frenzy erupts..

Isn't there always just "One More thing" we want to add to that craft room - you know the item we just HAVE to have.

I saw a saying recently that said a friend will go shopping with you, a BEST Friend will help you hide all the stuff you bought when you get home!  Thankfully it’s never come to that in my house ~ my hubby couldn’t be more supportive of my hobby but it made me laugh just the same..

Do you recall the first Stamp set you ever bought? What was it? Do you still have it?

I challenge you this week to take it out and make something with it ~  Share it with us by posting a link on my blog below, or e-mailing it to iscrapnstamp@gmail.com

Til Next Time..

Kit Bashing ~ Let's Break It Down.. *Updated*

This week we announced out new Ink-redible promotion and while I can simply tell you that it's a great deal I decided that I would SHOW you instead.

I tend to be a pretty visual person at the best of times so I got out my notepad and started my comparison..  when I was done, I found myself even more excited about it (if that's even possible!) and I couldn't wait to share it here with you.

So here goes..

Our demonstrator kit (aka the "I Want It All Kit") sells for $125.00 -  There is no shipping charge on the kit, and depending on where you live in Canada you only pay PST ~ If your province is on HST (like we are here in Ontario) we pay no tax on the kit.

Now comes the fun part ~ Customizing the kit ~ you choose up to $155.00 in products of your choice.

Whether you're a brand new ScrapNStamper or a veteran to the craft our customizable kit is a perfect fit!  You choose the items you need, not items that somebody else chose for you.

Have you been dreaming of owning our Big Shot Die Cutter?  For the purposes of this example I'm going to pretend we're shopping for a Big Shot Starter kit ~ So here's the breakdown for the Big Shot, a Die, and one embossing folder.

If you were to buy these items as a customer, here would be the breakdown.

$122.95
 $21.95
   $9.95
-----------
154.85

Add to that Shipping and Handing:  $15.48 and we're at $170.33

And Add Taxes.................................   $22.14

Your order comes to $192.47

In all honesty, as your demonstrator, I'd be strongly suggesting that you pick another die or two, or invite a friend to submit an order to bump your order total up to $200 before shipping and taxes so that you'll qualify for you hostess benefits.  (Minimum $35.00 at the 200.00 level).

Instead, if you bought this same collection as your $155.00 in the Demonstrator kit, you'd pay $125 - NO TAX (In Ontario) and NO SHIPPING charges.

You save $37.47 right off the bat!!

...  and that's before the addition of the 10-pack of Stamp pads (Value 64.95) that with tax and shipping come out to just over $80.00!  You cannot LOSE with this amazing deal!

You don't ever have to sell anything, and unless you choose to, you don't have to do another thing with your kit beyond taking it home and putting it away.  Nobody is going to make you share your toys!!

Let me add the caveat to that, that whether you choose to share your toys, or keep them all to yourself,  I am here to support you in your hobby or in your business in whatever way works best for YOU.

If you're thinking about buying the kit, and have more questions feel free to give me a shout.  If you know you want the kit you can either sign up via my website at your leisure,  or contact me for more personalized service.

But only until December 16th!!!

Let me know if I can be of any help!!

Thank-you for choosing me to be YOUR

demonstrator!

It's Mowvember! Behold the 'Stache

Movember is here.  While I'm going about to run out and grow myself a superior moustache, I wholeheartedly support the initiative and will support it any way I can.. including promoting it.

While the purpose of the event is to raise money for Prostate Cancer research,  I smile for a very different reason each and every time I see this logo posted somewhere.  That may sound crazy, but you see my father -- my DAD has had a handlebar mustache for as long as I can remember.  It has always been his pride and joy.  Few people were ever allowed to touch it - let alone have him share the secret of how he made the magic..

I should mention here that my Dad doesn't have cancer.. just in case there was any confusion there..

As many of you know, Dad has been in hospital since June so his 'stash isn't getting the love and attention it normally gets.  In fact, one well-meaning nurse cut it right off at one point not realizing despite copious notes in the patient chart that it was not-to-be-touched.  I will never forget the look on his face when I came in that morning and saw that his handlebars had been removed.  I must have turned pale white.  He just kept asking what was wrong.  I *So* didn't want to be the one to tell him.

I'd ripped a strip off the nurse that day telling her it was all well documented and she'd come back to me with "I didn't know how it should look".  I think she went paler than I had when I pulled out my cell phone and started flipping through some favorite photos I had loaded on my phone - like this one my Aunt took of Dad at the Highland Games a number of years ago..

I'd like to take this opportunity also, to thank those of you that took the time to send cards to me for my Dad.  We sent a batch of them off earlier this week after packaging them all in our clear envelopes for safekeeping.  They arrived safely yesterday.  The nurses were amused that I'd sent a light-up pumpkin, a pumpkin garland, a metal spiderweb (as opposed to the messy hairy ones) - I wanted to be festive, not have the nurses send out a lynch squad for me.  The nurses set about decorating Dad's room right away, and I'm told that the cards are all decorating the window in his room.

I will keep sending packages as they arrive.  We received some truly beautiful cards.  Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy days and lives to send a smile to a stranger.  It means more to me, and to our family than you will ever know.

If you'd like to learn more about Movember, click on the Moustache icon at the top of this post to go to the Canadian Movember & Sons Site.  To learn more about what our local area is doing on the Movember theme ~ Check out the latest at BNTV-Brocknews ~ Support Movember if you can.  Our Dads, Uncles, Sons, Colleagues and Friends may depend on the efforts we made today ~ someday..

If you're participating in Movember, or you know someone who is, don't forget to arrange BEFORE, AFTER as well as during the journey photos.  You'll sure wish you had when it comes to putting those memories into your scrapbook!

Until next time..  Take care!

Farewell to Thee Sir Pumpkin-Head..

Is it really Halloween already?  Time is just flying right on by...

My good friend and up-line Jennifer posted this photo tonight, and I just had to share it.  I'm so grateful to be part of a team of some of the most creative minds I have ever known.

The people we meet are truly the BEST part of being in this hobby, and being able to make it a business, is an extra bit of icing on the proverbial cake.

Club orders and Clearance Rack orders arrived in tandem today.  All orders have been sorted and packed.  Let me know when we can arrange for pick up or drop off.  We ordered some truly AWESOME things.  Watch my blog for an upcoming post with my "What's new in the Craft-room".. fair warning.. grab a coffee first.. :)

Speaking of the craftroom...  it is coming together rather nicely.  I've taken a few "sneak peek" shots over the last week or so, so watch for those this week.

I have to admit that I was completely gobsmacked when I got a look at all of my stamp sets unpacked and on a pair of wooden shelves all together for the very first time.  My teddy bear thinks that it looks pretty impressive, and he's right, it does..  but holy cow..  it sure is a lot easier to dismiss the size and cost of the stash when it's scattered here and there and everywhere..

I even set up one large shelving unit and put all of my "Other company, Pre-Stampin' Up!" papers on it.  Getting a look at *that* cemented my resolve to get cracking at my Stash-buster Sundays..

I've been hard at work plotting the calendar, and upcoming classes.  Great things are coming this month... I'll get you started on your Christmas cards and gift tags, and we've got some great 3D gifts planned as well.

Our next Midnight Crop is coming up next Friday, November 9th. This will be our first crop in our brand new craft-room!!  Cost is $25 or FREE with your $35 order.

Make it a Club!  Commit to 6 consecutive months, and during one of the months you get to be the hostess! That's a minimum of $35 in hostess benefits FREE, 6 FREE Classes, and during your hostess month you get to bring a guest FREE.  Contact me for more info..

The Fancy Friends Kit-Class is Accepting Registration:
