At Stampin’ Up! we are known for how our products coordinate, thus making the creative process easy! All of the punches that are featured today have coordinating
stamp sets.
For my first project, I used the Label Love Stamp Set that coordinates with the Artisan Label Punch, but I wanted a polka-dotted butterfly—so I used a stamp from the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set with my Bitty Butterfly Punch.
The second project I made used another stamp from the Six-Sided Sampler and the Hexagon Punch.
I like to use the negative space left from a punch to cut out border pieces, which is what I did for this card.
It may be hard to recognize the Pansy Punch on this last project, but it was used!
I spritzed sheets of Creped Filter Paper with Calypso Coral ink, then punched out the pansies using the Pansy Punch.
I layered several pansies and attached them using a brad in the center; then I bunched the layers to create a fluffy, 3D flower.
If you don’t own these punches yet, I hope today’s projects inspired you and helped you see why you need to have them as part of your collection!

Incorrect Measurement on the Envelope Punch Board

Item # 133774 - Envelope Punch Board - $24.95

Stampin' Up! Announcement

We have noticed that one of the envelope measurements on the Envelope Punch Board is incorrect.
The dimensions for the 5-1/2" X 8" card size envelope is 1/4" too small.  The correct envelope for this card size is: 10 - 5/8" X 10-5/8" (paper size); 4-3/8" (score line).
The envelope Punch Board still functions perfectly and we have corrected the measurement charge on the punch board.
If you have ordered this through me and would like the new measurement chart to replace the misprinted one, please let me know.  Demonstrator support is making them available for us to request.

Special reminder for Stampin' Up! cards:  These envelope measurements are meant for simple cards, without a lot of dimension.

We love adding dimension to our cards, but that can make our envelopes a big snug.  So if you need an envelope to fit your cards with lots of flair, go up an envelope size or two to find your perfect fit.

Challenge Accepted - Shall we PLAY?

When my good friend and up-line demonstrator asked me to post our team's weekly challenge last week, I wanted it to be something a little different from the norm.

After a little time spent pondering, my choice became clear -  Our weekly challenge would be an easy one...

Where normally we'd have a card sample or sketch to use for inspiration or a colour combination to try,  this week I picked one of my big challenges.. I can't be the only one with this issue.. right?

You know who you are..   you see it... you love it..  you've just GOTTA have it... and then it sits.. and sits.. and sits some more in your craft box or on your shelf waiting for "Someday" to come so that you will choose it and create!

Over the last few months of working on my craft space,  I have found several such items.  In some cases some items I had to have so much that I bought them twice!

So the challenge became...  "Take a look through your "Stash" or "Hoard" as some people like to call it..  Choose at least ONE item from your "had to have it" pile and use it on a project.

The only catch?  It had to be something "Stampin' Up!"  -- either current or retired didn't matter.. but it had to be something that Stampin' Up offered at some time.

I didn't end up having any time in my craft room with having everything from the laundry room/furnace area piled into the craft room while the hot water tank and furnace were replaced, but I decided that I wanted to do these challenges anyhow..

My Crop Ladies and Club girls loved the cards we made last night, and each one used the challenge..   Win Win :)

Check back a little later this weekend and I"ll post pictures :)  In the meantime, if you'd like to take on our challenge,  I'd love to see YOUR take on the challenge...
