Who doesn't love to save a little money when it comes to shopping for things we love?
I often joke with friends that those big CLEARANCE signs are a beacon calling my name. I don't always buy the items contained within, but often I do come away with at least some new ideas and that makes it SO worth the dive through the bin.
When I first started Scrapbooking, I'd been to one class, and had picked up a few things. Like many of you I went from there to go crazy in Walmart, Michaels, and of course on E-Bay. Boxes were coming in like there was some kind of crafty apocalypse coming and I had to prepare.
Over the years I have amassed an awful lot of "Stuff" for a variety of crafts, some of which stem back to my days of doing Home Daycare, Beavers and helping out with Sparks. As with most crafters, there comes a point when you realize the difference between a a great deal and a GREAT deal and you become more selective in my purchases.
I've also begun to find more creative ways to stash-bust and get rid of those "it seemed like a great idea at the time" and "I've gotta have it but have never used it" piles and have not only gotten rid of some things, but have also made a point of using some of them, donating others and slowly but surely progress is made.
I'm pretty lucky that I have an amazing teddybear who enjoys the smile of his creative genious -- a lesser man might have kicked me to a permanent time out chair long ago.
I remember the first time I picked up card stock from our clearance rack - I was like a kid in a candy store realizing quality and a great savings. Knowing that I had most of the stamp colours and a full complement of markers, I was ready for anything. I love using my "cheap" paper to playtest, and try things out -- perhaps a new technique. At least then if it totally tanks (and it's been known to happen -- LOL) I haven't wasted a lot of money, so I can experiment to my heart's content - GUILT FREE.
Take our Core'dinations Line of papers for example:
At just $4.89 for 20 sheets (4 each of 5 colours) for the In-Color variety - you're paying just .24 cents for each sheet! Saving you more than half the cost of .61 cents a sheet at regular price.
The Neutrals, Regals, Subtles and Brights are each $11.99 for 40 sheets - (4 each of 10 colours) which comes to just .29 cents per sheet! A considerable savings on the .75 cents a sheet it sold for when it first launched the line.
Our clearance rack is updated regluarly, but popular items tend to go quickly so if you see something you like you'll want to order it through my demonstrator website right away, or place your order directly with me to ensure you get the items you want at the deep discount.
Products on our clearance rack are up to 80% off of retail ~ how can you afford NOT to look? Take a look at our current items here: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=494
