Inspiration Station! - Grab Bag Project PDFs Available.

Happy Thursday Morning ScrapNStamp Friends!  Hang Tight, Friday is coming and this time around it's a Holiday ~ it doesn't get much better than that!

When the announcement was made for the Grab Bag special offer on our clearance rack it was indicated that many of the grab bags contained pre-cut card stock, ribbon and other components from discontinued Simply Sent kits.

Part of the attraction of our simply sent kits is the ability to quickly make multiple cards using the same components.  You can make each of the cards the same (or nearly so) or make each one completely different just by changing the positioning of a tag or embellishment but ultimately all of the cards match when you are done.

In any case, Simply Sent kits come with an insert that suggests a couple of different projects that can be made with the kit's components.  While the grab bag contained the Simply Sent components these instructions were not part of the package.

In order to assist you with ideas in how to use the Simply Sent components that you may have received Stampin' Up! has made available PDF copies of the instructional inserts for each of these packages.  Unfortunately not all of the Simply Sent packages are represented here, but these samples do offer plenty of inspiration that you can carry across the kits to make your cards your own.

So without further ado,  here they are - Enjoy!

Good Monday Morning! Good Things Are Coming...

I've had the pleasure of having a chance to have some long over-due catch-up chat with a couple of my craftiest friends over the last week.  I also had the chance to text message with one of my best friends since my early 20's..  many smiles and giggles shared as we recounted some of the early days of our friendship.

I am amused in how a casual conversation about this craft we love and suddenly the wheels are cranking at such a velocity that I'm wondering if perhaps seat belts and safety gear are required.  An idea can be born, shared and then suddenly it's gone from a blip on the distant radar and almost to fruition - a fully formed plan in the space of a phone call.

I'd love to get some t-shirts printed up that say "Powered by Creative Enthusiasm" because enthusiasm is truly contagious. I have always been one to feed (for lack of a better word) on the energy around me, and I've done well to surround myself for the most part with positive, creative people and good friends.

I just love how with a good friend you can both go off in your separate directions for days, weeks, months, and sometimes years but when you come together it's almost like you never missed a beat.  It's timeless, effortless and more than anything comfortable.  I am so very thankful for these ladies and I hope that they know just how much they mean to me.

I'm feeling pretty grateful this morning.  Thanks to my awesome teddy bear there is no functional water in my kitchen attached to a new sink, and dishwasher at long last!  He laughed at me all weekend for having so much fun playing with my dishwasher and washing everything as it was unpacked.

I've got a few new plans in the works, new classes posted and despite the gloomy day outside, things are looking pretty good in my world.  I am taking sign-ups for new Stamper's Club beginning April 27th,  Scrapper's Club beginning May 4th, and a Big Shot Class running for 4 weeks beginning June 9th.  Check my Demo website for more info, or e-mail me. I will also post the upcoming Calendar here on my blog over the next day or so, but you can always find the latest offerings on my Demo site.

Don't forget you can also shop 24/7 from my demo website and have shipped direct to you anywhere in Canada.  If you live in my area and would like to have your order combined with other orders to save shipping costs please contact me.

Over the course of this week I'll be implementing some new features on my blog.  Stay tuned  :)

Hope you find a little time this week to CREATE!

It's a Beautiful Day, and it's Friday...

...Honestly, what more could I possibly ask for?

Today is a particularly happy day in my world.

After many long weeks of having a shell of a kitchen with very little in it and many many trips back and forth to IKEA to rectify issues with missing pieces, adding on a couple of items and such and then finally finding a warped counter top that too had to be replaced, last night my husband, my father in-law and my brother-in-law were able to get my shiny new sink and dishwasher in place.

There's no water hooked up as of yet.  Turns out that the final smack in the forehead is that the plumbing we bought ahead of the install isn't going to work the way he planned so he's got to make a pit stop on the way home.

I have however, been given many assurances that I shall have water in my kitchen TONIGHT !!!

all I can say at this point is  OH HAPPY DAY!

Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper**item 122367 | $12.50

I just wanted to share my One+ reason for being especially chipper on this bright and sunny Friday.

Our house is taking shape at long last and we've unpacked what feels like a gazillion boxes over the last few weeks.  Little by little the house is looking less like a storage unit and more and more like the home that we just can't wait for it to be.

I am already booking classes and workshops from the end of April and into May.  Please let me know soon if you've got a date picked out so that we can get your name on the calendar before someone snaps it up first.

I will be hosting my first Wednesday Night Stamper's Club on April 27th. I am looking at the following week - May 4th for a Scrapper's Club.  If you'd like more information please feel free to e-mail me or give me a call at home.

It's Beginning to feel a lot like SPRING!!

... and not a moment too soon either!

As I sit here this afternoon the rain has finally subsided and the sun is out. I can actually hear the bird chirping through my open window though my hubby would argue that over my typing that there's no way that you could really hear anything. LOL

In the flurry of getting kit orders in, SAB orders finalized, and my pre-mini catalog order in, I completely forgot to sound the buzzers and do the happy dance.  You see, the last day of SAB was a pretty awesome day in my world for a completely different reason.  It was on that day 2 years ago that I re-joined with Stampin' Up! after having lapsed while in hospital a few months before.  It sounds funny to me to say that I'm celebrating my 2nd Birthday with Stampin; Up though since I was a Stamper's Club Member for the better part of 3 years before I joined as a demonstrator, and a hobby demo for several years after that - and as my hubby would day, I have the loot to prove it!

In celebration of this milestone, I thought I'd treat the next 2 people to comment to some of our new Baja Breeze glitter from the Occasions Mini. (Sorry Canadian Address Only).

I will also send a hand made card to every person after that adds a comment to this thread..  Of course you will have to send me an e-mail to send me your mailing address but I will also do two random drawings selected from everyone who entered for a $20 gift certificate to shop with me at my Stampin' Up Store.  How awesome is that?

Draw will take place April 30th, and the Winner will be announced May 1st during my Summer Mini Catalog Launch Event.  I hope to see many of you out to check out our new products and promotions but attendance is not required to win.  There will be plenty of other specials that day also so stay tuned!

My last SAB order of this year is due to arrive tomorrow.  I hope you got to order all of the FREE goodies that were on your wish list!!   If not, don't despair - I have a few extras that I will be offering as incentives and prizes over the next little while so all hope isn't lost..

Rainy Monday Inspiration.. Scrap Maps and a Card Map :)

It's funny, but no matter how many times I go and look through our Stampin' Up! demonstrator website I always seem to find something I hadn't noticed before.  A new idea, or a new tip but today I was excited to find that the page maps that are inserted each month in our demonstrator magazine area also available online.
April 2011 - 2

I thought I'd celebrate this rainy day and share this month's offerings here with you in hopes that perhaps you'll find a little inspiration on this soggy soggy day.

I have much unpacking to do, and some errands on my list but hopefully between now and our Crop on Saturday I'll have some time to play with these too.

I'd love to see what you come up with using these templates.  Feel free to post a comment and share a link to your creation so we can all take a peek. :)

April 2011 -1
Hope that you all have a fabulous day! I'll be catching up with you soon!  :)
